Blaze‘s Story

Hi, my name is Blaze and I am the happiest (and smartest!) Labradoodle that you will ever meet! I am 5-months-old and about 20 pounds. I currently live with 2 greyhounds and 2 human boys (whom I love VERY much). My foster home has a dog door which I figured out in about 3 minutes. If a dog door is available I will go out on my own. I am almost totally potty trained, but I still need to be watched a little. I have a pretty sweet routine right now. My foster mom is the first one up in the morning, when she lets me out of my kennel we go straight out to the backyard so I can do my business and then I come back in for breakfast. I LOVE my food so my foster siblings get their food first so they have more time to eat. I follow mom while she feeds them and then I run to the kitchen and sit while she gets my food ready! After breakfast we go outside one more time because I usually like to potty again after I eat. I play with my toys (my favorite is the bouncy, squeaky ball and the blue dog with the giant squeakers in all 4 legs!) while the humans eat breakfast and get ready for the day. Then, the whole pack takes me for a walk around the park and back home. By this time, I am ready for a nap and will find someone sitting still to sleep next to or go to one of my favorite corners. I also like to lay next to the water bowl because you never know when you might need a drink!

The rest of the day is spent napping (wait until you hear my cute little snores when I am sound asleep!), playing and going out into the backyard. I love being picked up and cradled like a baby but I don’t think they will be able to do that much longer! I am happy to give you kisses if given the opportunity. If my family leaves during the day, I get to hang out in my kennel and I know to run in there and sit when they tell me “go to your kennel”. I also love being brushed and like to plop down and lay on my side while getting pampered. I find this is a good time to do lots of stretching! I am super photogenic with big brown puppy dog eyes and my foster mom loves taking photos of me.

Evening is one of my favorite times of the day because the crunchy june bugs come out to play! I’m pretty sure they love this game as well since they are always buzzing past my face but I win since I am so fast (Blazing fast that is)! We always go out for one more potty break before bed and then I sleep in my kennel all night so I am ready to go again the next day.
