Greta‘s Story

YES I’M STUNNING BUT A FEW REQUIREMENTS I NEED FROM MY FUREVER HOME

- KID FREE HOME
- NO CATS
- NO DOGS

- SOMEONE WHO WORKS OR STAYS HOME DURING THE DAY

Hi I’m Greta, an incredibly sweet 18 month, 40-pound, Old English Sheepdog. I am crazy inquisitive and being 18 months old you would think my puppy years were a thing of the past but trust me nothing could be further from the truth. My foster mom says I use my mouth for everything. My foster pops says it’s like having a toddler in the house and I still don’t realize how strong my little mouth is and do need reminding on a regular basis how to be gentle.

My foster mom says you can set your watch by my potty schedule. Once she figured it out I haven’t had an accident since. I have also learned how to ring a little bell on the back door if someone forgets my schedule. I do have a little thing called submissive urination. Foster mom has to be the one to get me out of my crate in the morning and straight out for my morning piddle before I greet the rest of the family. I have been learning to walk well on a leash but those darn bunnies just tempt me every time.

My foster home does have kids, lots of kids and oh how I love to love on those kids. So why am I looking for a home that is kid free? Because I have whats called “resource guarding” and young kids don’t understand what that means. [NO KIDS UNDER 16 YRS OLD, NO EXCEPTIONS]. Just like the kid thing, I do have foster siblings that are cats but again I need a home without cats [NO CATS, NO EXCEPTIONS]

I like playing with my furry foster-sister, but I like to be “in your face” all the time and some dogs don’t like that so much. I do get very anxious and don’t like it when my furry foster-sister gets near my crate because that’s my stuff and I don’t understand that she isn’t going to take it. I am submissive to her when we play but again I am still learning so I do need to be watched. The best home for me is one with NO OTHER DOGS or a dog that isn’t reactive and will know not to get into my things.
