Rugby‘s Story

Hello there! My name is Rugby and I’m a 5-month-old, 11-pound, mini Goldendoodle. My foster momma keeps telling me that I’m the cutest little boy she’s ever seen. She must be right because her little puppies (the human kids) tell me the same thing. I am a huge goofball and one of my favorite things to do is grab one of my toys and throw it in the air so that I can run after it again. It’s even more fun when my furry foster brother joins in and we can play tug of war together. Every so often the kitty comes around and we take turns chasing each other around the couch. Who knew kitties could be so much fun!
And speaking of fun…I love ALL the things. Toys(the squeakier the better), sticks, tennis balls of course, and running around outside as fast as the speed of sound! The human kids play volleyball and I like to run after it and do summersaults over the ball. After a few minutes of this, I lay down out in the yard under the bird feeder and watch the birdies come and go. Being outside is pure heaven.
Every morning my foster family takes me and my foster brother for a walk to the neighborhood park. I’ve learned to walk alongside them and not run ahead. But it’s so hard to contain my excitement sometimes. My foster momma seems to really like this place called Starbucks because she loads me in the car every morning and if I sit quietly, I get a little cup of foam all to myself. I really like my car rides and I sit quietly yet proudly in the front seat so I can see out the front window.
Once we return home, foster momma goes to work on her computer while I have two human kids, a furry foster brother, and a furry foster sister to entertain me all day. In the evening, we all gather around the TV and watch movies. I enjoy relaxing on the couch while the humans take turns rubbing my belly. I return the favor and provide endless amounts of kisses. I often fall asleep around 9:30/10 and my foster mamma picks me up and puts me in my bed for the night. I’m a good sleeper and I usually don’t wake up until the kids come downstairs around 8am. By that time, I’m ready to go potty and begin another day of adventures with my pack.
Even though I’m still a puppy I’ve learned a lot of important stuff from my foster family. When I need to go potty I let out a little cry and sometimes a squeak. But I also make a silly squeak when I’m tired and yawning. I get a lot of laughs from the humans and a prissy stare from the kitty.
I am so excited to find my furrever home. I have so much love to give and I will make your heart melt the minute you lay eyes on me.
Yours truly,
Rugby (AKA Rugrat, Rugburn, Ruggy, Rug, etc…)
