Sissy‘s Story

My name is Sissy and I'm a five and a half year old, 44-pound Sheepadoodle with the most beautiful eyes you've ever seen if I may say so my self. I'm completely house trained too!

My foster mom says I have a quiet grace about me - until I see a squirrell or it's playtime with my four legged friend. I'm really goofy when I play. Squirrels are a particular passion of mine to the point that I've jumped my foster mom's fence in my single mindness during a chase. I'll need a tall, secure fence in my forever home. I'm super fast when I run!

When in the house where there are no squirrels I'm a chill lady. I'll quietly follow you and keep an eye on what you're up to. I'm not destructive and only bark when the post man or delivery person approaches the front door. I don't like a crate but that's not a problem because when I'm left out I do just great and will be happy to greet you at the door when you return. I have a bed next to my foster brother's crate and my foster mother's bed where I sleep quietly all night until my foster mom gets up for the day. I'm really good like that!

I'm kind of shy and fearful (never aggressive) when it comes to new people or loud noises. I'm working on trust. One day my foster mom was laying down on the sofa and I asked permission to lay with her where I laid my head on her chest and enjoyed a nice long cuddle session. That was really nice! I would love to have another dog to play with and to help me learn new things. My foster mom says I'm not a dominant dog whatever that means.

I'll need some time to feel safe around strangers and new situations as well as working on basic commands and confidence. I'm a lovely girl that deserves a safe and happy forever home. Could that be you and your home?

Sissy is fully vaccinated, HW-, sterilized and microchipped.
