Sugar‘s Story

Sugar truly is the sweetest dog ever. She has an extremely gentle spirit. She came to us very timid, sad and broken. Now she has embraced her new life of love, happiness and relaxation. She has a great big tail that thumps the floor with joy for as little as saying her name or looking at her. When she is really excited, she purrs. ? She is a 5 to 6-year old labradoodle and weighs about 60 pounds. She does shed but regular baths, brushing and healthy lifestyle can keep it under control.

She does not like loud noises and quick movements. A quiet, calm house is an absolute must for her. No children under 12/quiet children over 12.

Someone who works from home would be great. She loves her people and loves getting petted and snuggled. Sugar is potty trained but we let her out every couple of hours. She sometimes goes to the door to ask to go out.

She is timid but friendly when meeting new people. No jumping or counter surfing at all. She will not attempt stairs so a single story home would be best.

Sugar loves her crate! It is her safe place but with time and encouragement she has learned to follow us around the house and sleep next to the couch on her bed. We only close the door to the crate when we leave the house. Sugar will need a big crate (30x28x42). Currently she sleeps in her crate but with time I think she would happily sleep in a bed on the floor in the bedroom, if you can handle her snoring.

She loves to be outside. She is good on a leash but prefers to sit in the yard and roll in the grass. She prefers to walk not run but does get a bit frisky on cold mornings. She is not into doggie play. At the dog park she just wants to sit in the grass and is very intimidated by other dogs trying to get her to play. A home with no dogs or other dogs who enjoy a lot of quiet nap time is essential.

She is a very good girl and is completely compliant but commands are not her thing. Sugar rides in the car great. Doodles are know for their wigglebutts and this girl can almost knock over her crate when you come hone.

This super sweet, silly girl will make a wonderful addition to the right family!

Sugar is fully vaccinated, HW-, sterilized and microchipped.
