Valentine‘s Story

Valentine is a 5-½ month, 40-pound, black Labradoodle puppy. He is up to date on his puppy shots, recently neutered and chipped and is on heartworm prevention. Read what he has to say about himself.

Can I be your Valentine? I will love you. Will you love me? Check yes or no.

Single, shaggy, male, and desperately seeking some consistent human affection. Males or Females should apply, as I can identify and cuddle with either. I am not looking for a relationship that confines me to a crate, but rather someone who wants to spend quality time learning about each other’s whims and fancies. For instance, I love giving sloppy wet kisses and mesmerizing you with my puppy dog eyes. I love toys and bones that roll, squeak or are trip hazards. I will sleep all night on the floor by your bed and, although my rear leg jumps a bit when I dream, I do not snore. However, if it storms overnight or a cat saunters into the room, I will definitely alert you to the impending danger both can bring. And for now, I prefer long walks over long car rides, but with the right person by my side, I might be willing to try a little harder.

You? You are home more than you are not, and when you are home, you want to spend most of your time letting me breathe in your face or lick your toes. You have a fenced yard outside and limited stairs inside. You like having me close by or at least where I can see you without having to call for you all the time. You are patient. You are kind. You are understanding — cause, admittedly, I am bringing a couple of bad puppy habits to the relationship. I will have to be reminded that outdoors is the place to do certain things and you will have to accompany me because I like an audience. You will have to help me learn when my indoor voice is appropriate. You will have to make sure I stay focused during mealtime because I’m easily distracted and sometimes forget about the task at hand.

I welcome an open relationship, especially if it’s with another four-legged friend of equal energy level that knows how to set a positive example for me (see above). Young two-legged friends are also handy to have around, as long as they are of a sturdy size because I like to jump a little still and face it, I AM a growing boy. I don’t make a habit of destroying things I shouldn’t, but it’s probably not a good idea to test me in this area in case I get bored one day.

If we sound like the perfect match, go ahead and swipe right. I’ll be the best Valentine’s Day date you’ve ever had.
